I have just been looking through all of my work and catching up on the work I needed to do.
I think I have pretty much done everything that was included in the brief and feel confident in everything I have done.

I fixed my perfume box together the other day and feel it looks really proffesional and am proud of it.

Right now I'm working on my evaluation for my products. I have pretty much finished all of my products and the designs, All I have to do now is print off my poster, logo, t-shirt designs and I'm pretty much done!
I plan to finish my evaluation by the end of this weekend.
I will keep you updated on how it is going.

I am near to finishing my perfume design template. I am a struggling a little with what I want to do next as I dont want to do too much, but have too little.

Im still uncertain as I feel it looks too little, but then when I add a few more designs, it looks why too over the top and squeezed together.

I am now working on my perfume box design. I had to choose my own template from a template book and insert the CD-rom to import it onto Photoshop.
I have nearly finished the front of the perfume box. Here it is:

I think it looks really professional and eye catching and I've also linked in the colour theme!

This is how the poster looks without the border around the edge:

I dont find this as effective and it isnt as eye catching. Some people may disagree and say that it looks better as it is more softer around the edges and that takes the harshness away, but I still find the border to look better!

I have made a design for my promotional t shirt that the staff in 'The Perfume Shop' will be wearing when the perfume is being advertised/promoted.
Here is the front:

I only wanted this design to be simple as it is only a t shirt, but
I still think that having the logo on the front of the t shirt is a good way of not just promoting my product but also promoting and advertising my company as people will recognise the logo when they see it in different shops and recognise that it is my company.









Here is the back:

I also made this simple but it is still effective and people can see from the back of the staff that they are there to help if they are not looking at them from the front. I also added the logo so people walking past the shops can see the logo from the back AND front of the staff and also, the posters will be up in the windows so customers can see them aswell. This is called brand recognition so customers will become fimiliar with my company/logo.

Also, I have created a logo for my company 'Philyra'.
I enjoyed creating this because I could use different effects and brushes to create this simple yet
effective design. Here is a close up:

I really enjoyed making the logo also, it was really fun finding different effects to get the 'Greek-Goddess' effect!
I love hpw the colours blend in together and really work well and bounce off each other. If you can see theres a quirky pattern in the
background, I made that a bright creamy-yellow colour to make it
different so the background wasnt too boring.

I have been working on my poster for my Philyra promotion. It has turned out really well, I wasnt sure at first but I really like it now. Here it is:

I think it looks really professional and attracts the eye to valid
customers that will walk past shop windows and see the poster.

The colour theme i was going for was more popular than my other suggestions and I think it really brings out the beauty side of perfume and makes it look gentle and expensive, even if it is only £25!

I really enjoyed making my poster as I like learning new Photoshop skills every time I make something in Adobe Photoshop.

Today, I have been working on sheets and work that I have needed to catch up on, I have created a mood board on similar products that are like MY product.
I am also printing this and my other mood board off that I did earlier in the year.
On wednesday I was working on my Philyra products which is my promotional poster and my logo.
I have now finished them and will be working on  my t-shirt design next week.

Yesterday, I did a pitch/presentation on my product/packaging that I have been creating.
I felt like the pitch went well, I included all the points I wanted to get across. I felt more confident than I did when we did a presentation last year.
I brought my points across in more detail than I intended too and was happy with all the points and how the presentation went!
Next time I need to include subject terminology which I did not do and spend abit more time talking, which does not generally happen as I am a good speaker.

Over the past few weeks, I have been researching into different packaging and learning more and more about packaging.
I will be making my own packaging for a product I have thought about on my own and also I have designed my own company for my product to belong to.
I have produced my company and my packaging for my product and two other selling packaging.
My idea:

What it is- A perfume company
Three selling packaging products-Perfume Box

                                                      Promotional Staff T-Shirt
 Why?- I feel every woman deserves a unique perfume for herself.

My Infographic.
Over the past week, I have been working on an infographic I personally, was set to create. Before we were in groups to do this, then we were set to do our own.
We had to base our infographic on a few techniques, those including:


Hand Techniques: Etching, Linocut, Screen print, Wooduct and Lithography


Mechanical Techniques: Letterpress, Gravure and Screen Process


Digital Techniques: Photocopying, Laser Printing, Inkjet Printing, Desktop Publishing (DTP) and Digital Screen Printing.


I had to add detail about each one of these techniques and put them into a little paragraph so its easy to read and understandable to the audience. I also wanted to make it look funky and edgy and not boring to read, so that what i did :-)
I really enjoyed this task, I learnt all those techniques and also helped improve my Photoshop skills!

This week I have been learning and researching about Inforgraphics.

I was split into a group of 5, There were three groups all together, each group had to research into Infographics and also learn and make our own inforgraphic on a different subject.

It was quite interesting learning about a new subject that I had no idea about before.
Our group did Market Research,
group 2 did Production Research
and group 3 did Audience Research
After we had finished our inforgraphic, we had to tell the rest of the groups what we did, why we did it, and how we did it, and also explain what was on our infographic.

Now that I have done one with a group, I am set to do one by myself next week, I do not know what we will be doing it about yet but I'm sure I will enjoy it.

I have now finished my research techniques. I found this very difficult because as I was researching the techniques, there were words that I did not fully understand which made it harder for me to get the information.
I feel confident that I now know about the techniques and can now go onto doing more work on these research techniques.

Initial Proposal

I understand what I need to do for Unit 3,4 and 18

For Unit 18- I will need to understand about print based media and design, which basically mean that i will be developing ideas and creating them. I will be using Adobe Photoshop to help create my print based media and develop my Adobe skills further.

For Unit 4- I will need to understand time managment and keep udating my blog for research I find on the internet about my ideas and creations.

For Unit 3- I will need to understand the nature and purposes of reasearch and reasearch techniques, I will need to apply a range of research methods.

I will keep my blog udated on what I will be doing, when I will be doing my projects, and how.
